The Bangkok Affair (I)

With all the flu scare going around, Raphel and I are so glad that we were still going ahead with our Bangkok shopping trip, especially when we planned for this a long time ago. This time round, Raphel got to bunk over at my place, allowing us for more snooze time before we had to make our way to the airport.

My dear sleepy boy in the sky train on the way to the other terminal for our burger king brekkie!

And after much stoning, we finally made our way to our flight. I like the above picture. One can never really get such a photo because of all the hustling and bustling around the aiport =)

And I'm leaving... On a jet plane...

Seriously, with such a pig that I am, no matter where I am, I can really fall asleep, even when the plane has landed and is taxi-ing its way to the docking point. But finally, we've reached, as we made our way to Centre Point Petchburi.

And... It's such a nice place!! Everything about it is just very nicely lit and spacious. Here's the lobby. Anyway, it was way too early for us to check in. So after checking in our luggage at the concierge, we went just across the road to Platinum Mall!! =)

Shop shop shop... Till it's time to check in!

And here's our very nice room!! I just love the space they have, the couch, and the nice little kitchen! =)

After that, guess where we went?? It was on to tailoring, as our first stop is Savile Row. There, the Boy made 1 pants and 3 shirts, while I made 2 dresses. But the Boy was on a tailoring mission, as we made our way to the next tailor shop to try out their workmanship. Pinky Tailor it was, as we were greeted by very friendly people. There, Raphel made another 1 pants and 1 shirt, as we left for dinner then.

And for our first day, we had an early night, because we have a half day tour the very next day!! When we arrived at Bangkok's international airport, we were greeted by a friendly concierge who told us that we were entitled to one of three half day tours for free, and that we only had to pay for the government tax of 250 bhat per person. So what the heck, we might as well give it a try, especially when we chose the Chao Phraya river tour =)
