Of Wedding Photos

Being a photo buff, I know that I am very particular of a picture's final composition. And I do not know why, but I've been looking through wedding shots recently. With that, here are some shots that I fell in love with...

Overseas wedding shots:

Paris in Winter
Bride with Swans in Paris
Kyoto's Bamboo Park
Perth's Harbour
Church at Santorini

Local Wedding shots:

A Tiring Yet Loving Weekend

What was Raphel doing on an early Sunday morning?

Waking up early in the morning and taking the train down to meet Nahele!!

We were both involved in a bazaar sale in the Northeast area (because of the girl's work commitments) and it was so much fun!!

At least I managed to spend more time with her even though she was busy attending to customers, while I helped out as much as I can. In the end, it was a tiring yet a loving weekend for the both of us. =D

Defending the Caveman

An excellent play that I've come across since Own Time Own Target. What's it all about? Defending the Caveman is about a guy trying to stand up for his male species, by explaining how the ancient caveman, who was a hunter before, is also very much the same hunter, only that he does what he really is in more modern actions. Below are some of the points which the actor, Joe Little brought up.

Men are hunters.

    * That is a reason why they tend to focus on the things they do, and are oblivious to the rest of the world. It is also a reason why they cannot multi-task very well.
    * Because they are hunters, they are also protective of their territory. In modern times, their territory includes their car. That is why, when they get lost, they do not like to ask for directions, for it means inviting the other person into their moving territory =)

Women on the other hand, are gatherers.
    * In ancient times, they head out to the fields/forest to gather plants, roots, vegetables. Because of that, they are in tune with the environment, and knows whatever else is happening around them.
    * Bringing that into modern eras, women love to gather as many things as they would like, even though they might not need it. Sound familiar? Yes, shopping!
    * And since women tend to gather in groups, they gather more information from one another too, aka, gossiping!
    * Lastly, as they are so in tune with their environment, no matter how messy a place can seem, women always tend to know where things are located in a messy pile.

Men tend to work on negotiations: they would 'argue' it out to determine who has to do it.
Women work via cooperation: everybody likes company!

Involving the audience as much as he could, the play undoubtedly brought about many laughs. As much as the situations brought up are so very common, Joe Little brought out the comedic sides very well too, making it very clear that it is just how men and women are made out to be. Plus, even though these two genders are very different, it is these differences that makes men and women so compatible for each other, for one gender's strengths protect the other gender's weaknesses.

I can't help but feel enlightened. And yes, Men are not arseholes, right Raphel? =D

One Year

Who knew that our One Year Anniversary would be such a lovely one =)

I had the best time ever, as Raphel booked a table at the Equinox to celebrate our special day together. However, the cheeky boy decided to bring me on a 'tour' around Raffles City before bringing me to the restaurant, hoping to detract me from his plans. Little did he know that he had given his plan away when he was quite concerned over the weather, hoping that it would not rain on our way there.

But yes, on to Equinox we went, where I was treated to a lovely bird's eye view of the city. (Will share more pictures of the view later on.)

Look at the cute Mickey Mouse! (named by Raphel himself as he felt he looked like one, haha)

Knowing that I'm quite particular about cost, Raphel did his best to assure me that it was alright to spend, as we started off with our appetisers.

On the left is his Foie Gras with caramelised pineapple, while I had the Seafood Bisque. The foie gras was really tasty!

His main course was King Scallops with Cod Fish, while I had the Grilled Sea Bass with braised Octopus. It's a pity that I didn't really like the octupus, as it was just not to my taste. Thankfully, I had Raphel to act as my food bin =D

That's us, happy and satisfied with our food. It was quite interesting that I got really full too, considering that it was fine dining, and the portions are usually smaller than usual. It must have been the free bread that they provided, which were pretty tasty too!

Anyway, by the time we finished, it was already dark, and the lights of the city started to come to life. And with us way up high, the view was breathtaking... So now, here's a showcase of the views from when it was bright, to the night scenes.

Midway into our time there, Raphel went off to the gents. It was then that I felt that he took a little too long, only to realise that when he returned, indeed the Boy came back with a surprise! A bouquet of 11 roses and a swarovski crystal necklace! I was so surprised that I could not help smiling =)

To add on to my surprise, the staff of Equinox actually gave us a surprise chocolate cake on the house! It was such a nice move, that even Raphel himself was impressed =)

A showcase of my gifts:

Swarovski necklace

And my first ever champagne rose. 11 stalks signifying "You are my treasured one; the one I love most in my life".

Thank you very much my dear Boy. The whole event was a really lovely one, and I enjoyed myself to the max. Here's wishing you a very happy 1st Anniversary darling, with many more happier years to come =)
