The Day We Flew

I have always had a fascination with the military. And having gone to the Army Open House in 2004, and the Aerospace Show in 2005, I was sure that I would not want to miss the Singapore Airshow 2008.

I took whatever pictures I could with the planes, though most would think I was dressed more appropriately for the Army Open House.

Mr Photographer had the chance to be in front of the lens too, instead of constantly being behind the camera.

As we 'oo-ed' and 'aahh-ed' to the spectacular performance by the aerobatics of the airplanes, who knew what was blossoming from all the interaction between the both of us =)

Still, I think the funny part of the day was when we realised that Raphel was totally sunburnt, while my skin was safe and sound, thanks to my jockey-like cap and the little moisturizer I slapped on early in the morning.

Hello Mr Crabby!! =D

The Flowers Rendezvous

By some chance, we managed to head down to Sentosa for the last day of the Sentosa Flowers 2008 Exhibition. Must say that I was pretty happy =)

Amazingly, I was not afraid to put on stupid poses for the photographer to snap. Hmm...

And then, there was this exhibit where they displayed swans made out of lovely white flowers, which of course was the highlight of the area. But as you can see, somehow the photographer decided to position himself in a way that made me block a freaking whole swan!! And to think he was laughing all the way… =P

But at least at the end of the day, there was a group shot with the sunflowers to brighten up our day. Look!! There's giant bees all around the flowers!! Run for your life!! Haha =D

The Slow Progress

If one ever knew how often we met just as friends, I'm sure they would be wondering whether Raphel had an interest in me. Seriously, we were meeting a little way too often as friends. Let's think back shall we?

2 Feb: Shoot @ Fort Canning; Exploration @ Science Centre
4 Feb: Shopping & Dinner
5 Feb: The clown accompanied me to see a doctor at Hougang Polyclinic when he stayed in the furthest West end of Singapore. The funny part was that he was actually chatted up by an old uncle and auntie, while I was still in the consultation room. Wondered what they chatted about though.... Haha.
6 Feb: Chatted on the phone till 4am even though the clown had to work on the next day (Yes, it was sad, he had to work on 除夕 and 初一 .)
9 Feb: Met up with him and the rest of the guys at River Hongbao for fireworks
10 Feb: Met up with him alone this time, again to River Hongbao for some photos

(Especially this!)

13 Feb: Met up for dinner at Vivocity

That's excluding all the normal chatting that we do online. And he claims that till then, he still thought of me as a friend! Now now, wouldn't anyone be seriously misguided by his actions?? =P

The Shoot

We went up to Fort Canning for the photo-shoot, which was miserable in my opinion. I was stiff, I didn't know how to smile, I just looked horrendous!

Evidence of an ugly picture

Still, the after shoot events were great!. Lunch at Sakae Sushi was good, and a spontaneous trip to Science Centre after that was fun! Only because I was interested to watch the Imax show Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs, the guys were kind enough to accompany me there. (I'm thinking they wouldn't mind either, for they stay in the west while I have been an East-ie all my life!)

Anyway, while it was cool to go through most of the exhibits, I believe the highlight of the day was when Raphel and myself were cracking our brains together in order to match the sounds of the sea creatures to their corresponding pictures. My goodness, what a painful challenge it was! Especially when kids out of curiosity barge in halfway to spoil our significant progresses, so much so that sometimes, I wish I could kick them far far away... But anyway, we had fun, and we were triumphant, although I believed many brain cells died in the process =P
