Just Being There
I might just be tagging along.
I might just take on the role as an observer.
I do not know why, but I just enjoy watching Raphel in action.

Road Trip
Raphel and his guy friends rented a car for the weekend, as they took me for a drive around Singapore. So from 7-8 June, I was either sitting in the car enjoying their chauffeur services, or taking on the role as their GPS system for the day.

That's me with the guys after work at Mount Faber

A group and couple shot at Punggol Beach

Some nice quiet time at Keppel Bay
That's of course not including the exploration of places like Bugis/City Hall area, and the food paradise of Serangoon Gardens Chomp Chomp and Geylang. And I know that should one day I am out of job, I can perhaps sign up to be the guys' GPS system for the East-ie area. Any takers?? =P
Children Charity Work
Labels: Charity Work | at 23:34
It was my first time working with children. Boy, it was no easy task too! Nahele and I took some time off on a weekend to help out in this charity event named: Windows to a Child’s Mind - Art Interactive. It was part of IMH's charity event in collaboration with the National Museum of Singapore, organized by the Child Psychiatry Department.
A couple of Nahele's colleagues actually went down to help. Me, as a kind hearted and caring person, ehem... volunteered myself be part of the whole project too =) With the rest of them being IMH's staff and me being the only outsider, I was given the task of stopping strangers and bringing little boys to toliets!! Haha... Sounds like a low graded task huh, but I did enjoy the times spent with the children. They were all so adorable and cute!! There was this little "naughty" boy who even made me go round and round searching for him, where upon he just kept running about. It was no joke looking after children but I truly enjoyed the time spent with them, as well as working with Nahele. I very much thought that it made us look like we were the 'parents' of the children =) Nevertheless, here's the pictures of us after a fun and fulfilling session.
Our Feathered Friends
I finally went to Jurong Bird Park!!
With Raphel choosing to meet at about 9.30am, we realised that we would miss the 10am Birds of Prey show. While I'm a person who does not like to cab for unnecessary reasons, Raphel insisted on taking a cab there so that I could catch the show (He knew that I love birds of prey).
For that, I managed to meet Hedwig! Haha...
Wondering around, we chanced upon the Pelican Cove
Of which I felt Raphel blended in pretty well with the white-ies
While I had a messy time with the lories!
There was just this one of the green lory, who was an extremely messy eater! Every time it dipped its feathered head into the cup, it would resurface and splash the mix all around its surrounding, so much so like it was watering the floor like it was its garden!! (I know I can be pretty/sweet like a flower *cough*, but I'm sure not part of its garden!)
And they were so cheeky, they'll even go to the extent of putting their talons on the cup so that you can't move it away for fear that they'll topple off and fall down the parapet... Still, despite all their noisy chirping, I had so much fun with them.
So here are some pictures of the naughty little lories, along with some of my other favourite birds. Pictures courtesy of Raphel! =)
Plus some more stupid/lame shots that shows the fun side of us, haha...
